Rethinking Education, a group of Dominican educators, presents this document with the aim of offering a fresh perspective on the necessary responses to ensure educational quality. The document is structured into five sections, beginning with a justification and concluding with suggestions to transform this rethinking into concrete actions. In the second section, the central educational themes that are encouraged to be reconsidered are explored, including: the student as the focal point of the learning process, the teacher as a key figure in the holistic development of the student, the school as an ecosystem of the educational process, the family and community as foundational pillars, and public educational offices as entities that regulate, support, and drive change. The document not only emphasizes the role of schools as key institutions but also envisions them as sustainable ecosystems that foster dialogue and empower communities. It underscores the importance of providing schools the opportunity to fully realize their potential in achieving this vision.
