Through the living collections that they preserve in their enclosures, multiple scientific investigations are carried out and conservation and environmental education programs are developed. This paper presents the living collection of cacti from the Botanical Garden of Santiago (Dominican Republic) with information on the geographical origin, ethnobotanical uses, and the conservation status of the species.en-US

A través de las colecciones vivas que preservan en sus recintos se ejecutan múltiples investigaciones científicas, y se desarrollan programas de conservación y educación ambiental. En este trabajo se presenta la colección viva de cactus del Jardín Botánico de Santiago (República Dominicana) con información sobre el origen geográfico, los usos etnobotánicos y el estado de conservación de las especies.es-ES
