Este artículo presenta un estudio exploratorio realizado en el nivel de postgrado de una universidad de Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, donde se estudió el uso de los modelos educativos reflejados en la metodología de enseñanza de los docentes del cuarto nivel. Se abordó el manejo e implementación de ciertas técnicas y estrategias utilizadas por los docentes y la relación observable entre la perspectiva docente y la literatura experta. Para realizar esta investigación, se utilizó una metodología donde se prioriza la indagación, con un enfoque descriptivo de profundización, para explicar lo que se plantea sobre las diversas estrategias metodológicas existentes y la manera en que los docentes apropian e implementan las teorías, a través de estas. Se concluye que no todos los docentes emplean métodos adecuados y motivadores, que sean propios del nivel, del estudiantado y del plan de estudio. Al final se ofrecen algunas recomendaciones.
This article presents an exploratory study carried out at the graduate level of a university in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The use of educational models was studied, reflected in the teaching methodology of the teachers of the fourth level. It considers the management and implementation of certain techniques and strategies used by teachers and the observable relationship between the teaching perspective and expert literature. In order to carry out this research, the methodology prioritized the inquiry, with a descriptive deepening approach, to explain what is being considered about the various existing methodological strategies and the way in which the teachers appropriate and implement the theories. It concluded that not all teachers use appropriate and motivating methodologies, which are specific to the level, the student body and the study plan; at the end, some recommendations are offered.
