dc.descriptionThis article focuses on the impact on Art Education of the provincial educational reform established by School Government Resolution No. 386/88 carried out in Mendoza, a province of Argentina, in 1988. This reform incorporated Theater as a subject to the official curriculum. The objective is to identify the pedagogical approach to Artistic Education prescribed by this legislation and describe the teaching model of Theater as a mandatory subject. The selected methodology was Grounded Theory, within the qualitative paradigm and was implemented through software (Atlas-ti, V 8.1) to process and triangulate the information obtained from primary sources: laws and curricular documents, surveys of teachers of the subject Theater and in-depth interviews carried out with people responsible for writing the educational documents. It is concluded that the impact of the social context was decisive in educational decisions, that the epistemological approach to artistic education of this reform was “education through art” and that this approach has determined the contents and didactic strategies of the Theater subject, as well as the role prescribed for teachers.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo se enfoca en el impacto que produjo en la Educación Artística la reforma educativa provincial establecida por la Resolución del Gobierno Escolar Nº 386/88 realizada en Mendoza, una provincia de Argentina, en 1988 y que incorporó al Teatro como asignatura al currículo oficial. El objetivo es identificar el enfoque pedagógico que prescribe esta legislación para la Educación Artística y describir el modelo didáctico que se explicita para la asignatura obligatoria Teatro. La metodología seleccionada fue la Teoría fundamentada, dentro del paradigma cualitativo y se instrumentó a través de un software (Atlas-ti, V 8.1) para procesar y triangular la información obtenida de las fuentes primarias: leyes y documentos curriculares, encuestas a docentes de la asignatura Teatro y entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a personas responsables de la redacción de los documentos educativos. Se concluye que el impacto del contexto social fue determinante en las decisiones educativas, que el enfoque epistemológico de la educación artística de esta reforma fue la “educación por el arte” y que este enfoque ha determinado los contenidos y las estrategias didácticas de la asignatura Teatro, así como el rol que se prescribe para los y las docentes.es-ES
