Geofilia: esbozo de ética ambiental a partir del reino vegetal

| dc.description | Since the middle of the 20th century, environmentalists, biologists and philosophers have carried out research and theoretical reflections that have resulted in the emergence of environmental ethics. The post-war scenario and the effects of advanced technology applied to industry revealed the infeasibility of the contemporary model of life, as the harmful effects suffered by biodiversity became evident. Within the context of the planetary crisis, the question arose as to how the human being's vision of nature influences the type of relationship he/she assumes with nature. The interest of the present work lies in promoting and conceptually arguing for a harmonious relationship between human beings and nature. The methodology used is qualitative, descriptive and contextual analysis. After a historical journey examining the peculiar ways in which humanity has conceived nature, a link has been established between this conception and the particular modality of relationship assumed in each historical phase. The research carried out has made it possible to establish at least five modalities of relationship in the aforementioned sense, with the geophilic relationship as the preferred option. Two notions have been used for an adequate approach to the subject: geophily and geophilic plants. Based on this, and from a vegetal perspective, the present work is a theoretical effort to approach environmental ethics from a different perspective, with the purpose of fostering friendly ties between the human person and the common home. | en-US |
| dc.description | Desde mediados del siglo XX ambientalistas, biólogos y filósofos han realizado investigaciones y reflexiones teóricas que han dado como resultado el surgimiento de la ética ambiental. El escenario de la posguerra y los efectos de la tecnología avanzada aplicada a la industria, revelaron la inviabilidad del modelo de vida contemporáneo, al constatarse los efectos nocivos sufridos por la biodiversidad. Dentro del contexto de crisis planetaria, surgió la cuestión de cómo influye la visión que tiene el ser humano sobre la naturaleza, en el tipo de relación que asume frente a esta. El interés del presente trabajo radica en promover y argumentar conceptualmente una relación armónica del ser humano con la naturaleza. La metodología empleada es de enfoque cualitativo, de carácter descriptivo y con un análisis contextual. Tras un recorrido histórico examinando los modos peculiares en que la humanidad ha concebido la naturaleza, se ha llegado a establecer un nexo entre dicha concepción y la modalidad particular de relación asumida en cada fase histórica. La pesquisa realizada ha permitido establecer al menos cinco modalidades de relación en el sentido apuntado, asumiéndose la relación geófila como opción preferente. Dos nociones han servido para un abordaje adecuado del tema: geofilia y vegetales geófilos. Con base a esto, y desde una perspectiva vegetal, el presente trabajo significa un esfuerzo teórico por aproximarse a una ética ambiental desde una óptica diferente, con el propósito de fomentar lazos amigables entre la persona humana y la casa común. | es-ES |
