Sobre la enseñanza del montaje cinematográfico: El valor pedagógico del montaje-collage

dc.descriptionThis article addresses the singular paradox that film editing, whose pioneers introduced the principle of montage into 20th century art, has continued to ignore through its eminently technological teaching—a kind of computer science applied to the audiovisual—its extraordinary creative potential (collage, photomontage, literary montage, architectural montage). In this presentation, prior to an in-depth PhD thesis on the topic, we briefly present a proposal for montage-collage practices for students of film (and other arts) where the creative clashes of images and sounds are taught in both a narrative sense and in their more artistic, critical, poetic or simply playful dimension. The relationship between montage-collage and the new digital aesthetics of remixing, sampling and mash-up —popular in the stream of content that students consume everyday on their mobile phones— could also provide an excellent intergenerational meeting point.en-US
dc.descriptionSe aborda la singular paradoja de que el montaje cinematográfico, cuyos pioneros introdujeron en el arte del siglo XX el principio de montage, ha obviado en su enseñanza eminentemente tecnológica —una suerte de informática aplicada a las artes audiovisuales— el extraordinario potencial creador del mismo (collage, fotomontaje, montage literario, montage arquitectónico). En el presente artículo, previo a la publicación de una investigación en profundidad en forma de tesis doctoral, se presenta brevemente una serie de prácticas de montaje-collage para estudiantes de cine (y otras artes) donde se trabajan los choques creativos de imágenes y sonidos tanto en un sentido narrativo como en su dimensión más artística, crítica, poética o sencillamente lúdica. Su relación con las nuevas estéticas digitales de la remezcla, el sampler y el mash-up que hoy reinan en los contenidos que el alumnado consume masivamente en sus teléfonos móviles, ofrecen asimismo un excelente punto de encuentro intergeneracional.es-ES
