dc.description.abstractl presente artículo corresponde a una investigación inicial de tipo exploratoria en el sitio arqueológico de Corobamba, Perú, cuya finalidad correspondió a identificar ciertos aspectos de este lugar, como su filiación cultural y su funcionalidad. Para ello, se realizó un análisis tipológico de la planimetría del sitio, que además se apoyó en ciertos marcadores estilísticos de algunos objetos relacionados con dicho asentamiento. Además, recurrimos en gran parte a la información histórica, correspondiente a fuentes ya publicadas y a datos citados por otros investigadores que realizaron trabajos de archivo. De esta manera, logramos reconstruir, mediante una perspectiva diacrónica, algunos sucesos concernientes a dicho asentamiento, como su fundación durante la segunda mitad del siglo xvi para constituir una de las reducciones coloniales del corregimiento de Paclas (en el actual departamento de Amazonas, Perú), como parte de las políticas impuestas por el virrey Francisco de Toledo. Asimismo, también identificamos las actividades realizadas por los habitantes de Corobamba (incluyendo sus parcialidades), algunas políticas que afectaron a dichos individuos, los daños causados por parte de los colonizadores hispanos y, por último, el proceso de su abandono a causa de un sistema de reasentamientos dirigido por el obispo Baltasar Jaime Martínez Compañón, a fines del siglo xviii.es-ES
dc.description.abstractThis article corresponds to an initial investigation of an exploratory type in the archaeological site of Corobamba, Perú, in order to identify its cultural affiliation and functionality, through the typological analysis of the site’s planimetry, and the support of stylistic markers of certain objects related to the site. In addition, we resorted largely to historical information, corresponding to already published sources and data cited by other researchers who carried out archival work. In this way we managed to reconstruct, through a diachronic perspective, some events concerning this settlement, such as its foundation during the second half of the 16th century to constitute one of the colonial reductions of the Paclas corregimiento (in the current department of Amazonas, Peru), as part of the policies of Viceroy Francisco de Toledo. Likewise, we identify the activities carried out by the inhabitants (including partial communities) of Corobamba, some policies that affected these individuals, the damage caused by the Hispanic colonizers, and finally the process of their abandonment due to a system of resettlements led by Bishop Baltasar Jaime Martínez Compañón, at the end of the 18th century.en-US
