2026-04-032026-04-03https://repositoriobiblioteca.intec.edu.do/handle/123456789/15070Introduction: Hemato-oncological disorders have increasingly affected the quality of life and mental health of individuals who suffer from this disorder, including functional, physical and psychological well-being, given the progressive deterioration of their disease. Likewise, they are subjected to multiple treatments that alter the functional capacity of the individual. Methods: An advanced literature search was performed in PubMed, Embase (Elsevier), Google Scholar and Scopus, and 50 articles were obtained. Conclusion: The treatments that patients must undergo are considered the cause of the alteration of the quality of life of these individuals. Several risk factors for the quality of life of these patients were identified, including radiotherapy, stem cell transplantation and chemotherapy. In their management, the importance of psychological support during their disease process and palliative care at the end of their life was highlighted. Patients have symptoms that include pain, anxiety, depression, fatigue, among others, which directly influence their functional capacity and quality of life, and psychological and emotional deterioration is not only limited to patients but also to their caregivers, family and social circle.Introducción: Los trastornos hematoncológicos cada vez han afectado la calidad de vida y salud mental de los individuos que padecen de dicha alteración, incluyendo el bienestar funcional, físico y psicológico, dados por el deterioro progresivo de su enfermedad, del mismo modo, estos son sometidos a múltiples tratamientos que alteran la capacidad funcional del individuo. Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda avanzada de la literatura en PubMed, Embase (Elsevier), Google Scholar y Scopus, y se obtuvieron 50 artículos. Conclusión: Los tratamientos por los que los pacientes deben someterse se consideran la causa de la alteración de la calidad de vida de dichos individuos. Se identificó varios factores de riesgo para la calidad de vida de estos pacientes, incluyéndose la radioterapia, el trasplante de células madre y la quimioterapia. En su manejo se resaltó la importancia del apoyo psicológico durante su proceso de enfermedad y los cuidados paliativos en su final de vida.
